Roxana completed her Masters in Clinical Psychology at Pepperdine University. During this time, she worked as a therapist in community mental health programs, running groups and doing individual and family therapy at a residential eating disorder facility. Following her degree she began working at a non-profit community based agency specializing in work with children and adolescents struggling with trauma symptoms due to emotional, physical, or sexual abuse. She is certified in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.
Roxana is passionate about helping others with an attachment-based, trauma focused approach. She helps clients manage symptoms stemming from traumatic or adverse experiences in life. She teaches clients how to set appropriate boundaries and manage relationship issues and toxic relationships. She guides clients toward learning how to trust their intuition and find their authentic voice through exploration of past and current experiences. In her spare time, Roxana enjoys walking her dog, reading, writing, and chatting with friends and family. She knows from personal experience how difficult doing the work of therapy can be. She meets each client with compassion, empathy, and authenticity and views the therapy room as sacred space. To be entrusted with another’s deepest thoughts is a gift she does not take lightly. |
